Manchester Bag Company of Kansas City Sells to Material Motion of Atlanta

Manchester Bag is a 30-year-old company with offices in Overland Park, KS and Hartland, Michigan. The business ended 2016 with a record year in sales and profits. Manchester Bag is known for offering the best in bags, packaging products, shipping supplies and graphic design services.

Material Motion, Inc. is a global packing and environmental solutions company based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Material Motion was founded in 1992 as an industrial packaging company. By acquiring Manchester Bag, Material Motion gains access to additional suppliers and markets for which Manchester was a leading provider.

John Manchester, one of two founding partners, is currently serving as the General Manager while Douglas Steele, the other founding partner, will stay on as a Sales Director for the Manchester division of Material Motion.

All employees have been retained.
