Viracor-IBT Acquired by Eurofins Scientific

Lee’s Summit, MO-based Viracor-IBT Laboratories Inc has been offered a $255 million purchase price by Eurofins Scientific. Viracor-IBT is a reference laboratory that provides biologic and large molecular biomarker support, along with molecular testing to hospitals, physicians and biotech/pharmaceutical companies. The company employs about 270 people, all of whom will be retained. Eurofins is a world leader in food and biopharma product testing.
