Two Overland Park Risk Management Firms Merge

Over the weekend, Cretcher Heartland LLC and Power Group Cos. completed a merger. Cretcher has concentrated on risk management and commercial insurance, while Power Group has been strong in employee benefits consulting. Combined, they will employ 158 people and project $25 million in revenue. The yet-to-be-named merged company will be the second-largest independent insurance agency in the Kansas City area, just behind Lockton Cos. (Kansas City Business Journal)
