Smith & Loveless Acquires Schloss

Lenexa, KS-based Smith & Loveless Inc. has purchased the business of Schloss Engineered Equipment Inc. Schloss is headquartered in Aurora, CO. The company designs a line of headworks screening, compacting, conveying, washing and dewatering technologies.

Smith & Loveless offers a complete line of equipment for the water and wastewater industry, including pumping, treatment and headworks systems. The company has operated for more than 65 years and is a leader in lift station design and manufacture, grit removal systems, and a range of wastewater treatment systems. Smith & Loveless has installations in more than 70 countries. Standard systems are available, as well as custom systems that are tailored for each client’s needs.

Schloss products will be incorporated into Smith & Loveless’ Municipal, Industrial, After Market and international Sales Division offerings. The acquired company will be re-launched as Schloss Environmental Equipment Inc., a Smith & Loveless Company.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
