Salina-based Kennedy and Coe LLC will merge with California-based Matson and Isom. Kennedy and Coe is an agricultural consulting and CPA practice, and is the sixth largest accounting firm based in the Midwest. It was founded in 1932, and now employs 250 people. 2013 revenues were approximately $33.8 million. The merger will boost revenues to approximately $60 million, with 375 employees. The two firms work with businesses throughout the food-supply chain including input suppliers, processors, packagers, storage and distributors.
The newly formed company will take on a new name in the future. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
