New Orleans-based Stewart Enterprises sells business to Houston-based Service Corp. for $1.1 billion. Three Kansas City area funeral homes will be sold in order to avoid concerns about lessened competition. Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, Johnson County Funeral Chapel & Memorial Gardens, and Care currently for sale.
