Mid America Transportation Sells Business to Kansas City Firm

Mid America Transportation has sold a number of routes in Kansas City, surrounding rural counties, rural western and middle Missouri, and suburban St. Louis to Kansas City firm Apple Bus Co. The acquisition includes 20 school contracts, about 120 buses and about 125 employees, increasing Apple's total staff to about 1,300 and fleet to about 950 buses. Apple Bus is based in Cleveland, MO.
