Lenexa’s TradeWind Energy Acquires Oklahoma Wind Farm

TradeWind Energy Inc., based in Lenexa, KS, has acquired the business of Osage Wind Farm in Oklahoma from NTR plc. NTR is a renewables investment group that owned Osage under its Wind Capital Group in the U.S. The Osage project is expected to begin operations in 2015. Associated Electric Cooperative Inc., of Springfield, MO, has agreed to buy the entire output of the Osage wind farm. TradeWind is one of the largest independent wind and solar project developers in the U.S. TradeWind paid $60 million for the acquisition, and assumes all outstanding liabilities.
