Leawood Agribusiness Company Makes Fourth Acquisition

Leawood-based agribusiness company Agspring LLC has agreed to acquire the Idaho grain operations of General Mills Inc. Agspring, founded in 2012, supplies grains, oilseeds and related products in North America, South America and Europe. Other services include storage and handling, marketing and distribution, processing, transportation and logistics. Current management and staff will remain in place. The company also has offices in Chicago and Omaha. In January of this year, Agspring acquired Bayou Grain and Chemical Corp, as well as Tubbs Rice Dryers Inc and Raley Brothers LLC. This most recent purchase is expected to be complete in May, and the selling price was not disclosed.
