Large Underwriter Acquires SeaFire Insurance

Overland Park, KS-based SeaFire Insurance has been acquired by Victor O. Schinnerer & Co. SeaFire provides property and casualty insurance services to auto dealerships and the auto repair market. The product offering includes garage liability, property, pollution, auto physical damage and umbrella liability through several insurers. The company is a division of Preferred Concepts LLC.
Schinnerer is one of the largest underwriters of specialty insurance programs in the world. The company, located in Maryland, serves more than 46,000 customers in many industries.
The selling price was not disclosed.
