Kansas City Area Hospitals Sell to HCA Midwest Health System

Carondelet Health's St. Joseph Medical Center and St. Mary's Medical Center have sold to HCA Midwest Health System. The acquisitions give HCA Midwest a total of 12 hospitals, seven surgery centers and more than 10,000 employees. It is Kansas City's largest health care provider and private-sector employer. Selling terms were not disclosed.
