Douglas Pump Service Sells to C & B Equipment

In an effort to further expand their business into the Kansas City market, C & B Equipment purchased Overland Park-based Douglas Pump Service. C & B Equipment offers air compressors, dryers, blowers, pumps, engines, vacuum pumps, and service for these industrial products.

C & B has locations in both Wichita, KS as well as Lenexa, KS.  They purchased the stock of 46-year-old Douglas Pump Service Inc., and will move C&B's operations from Lenexa into Douglas Pump's 17,000 square-foot facility.  C & B supplies quality products and service to Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas Panhandle, and Southern Illinois.

Since 1973, Douglas Pump Service has been solving pump and mechanical problems. They offer skilled shop and field technicians and machinists, coupled with state-of-the-art technology, provide fabrication of replacement parts, on site repair and maintenance, and installations.

"While we had many companies offer to take over the operations and business of Douglas Pump Service Inc., we decided to go with C&B as we could clearly see they emulated the same values that Douglas Pump was built on," Shirley Douglas, vice president at C&B Equipment.

"We are excited about the opportunities this brings to expand our footprint in the Kansas City market and to offer new services at a value package to existing Douglas Pump Service Inc. customers," C&B Equipment President Dennis Noyes said.

The combined company will operate as C&B Equipment Midwest Inc. while continuing to do business as Douglas Pump Service. According to a news release, the company will retain all of Douglas Pump's employees.
