CPI Automation & Control Solutions Sells to Barr-Thorp Electric Co. Inc.

CPI Automation & Control Solutions of Denver recently sold their company to Merriam-based Barr-Thorp Electric Co. Inc for an undisclosed amount.

Barr-Thorp Electric Company is a third generation, family-owned business established in 1923 as a motor sales and repair facility. They primarily supply products that require engineering assistance for proper selection and installation. However, as a full-line distributor, they offer a full breadth of products including items that are commonly considered commodities.

Barr-Thorp has four locations located in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Serving the Colorado and Rocky Mountain region since 1948, CPI Automation & Control Solutions is an Electrical Distributor who has established a reputation as the Colorado electrical controls experts.
