Beechcraft Corp.Sells Business to Texron for $1.4 Billion

Textron, Cessna Aircraft's parent company, announced that it is purchasing Wichita, Kansas-based Beechcraft. Textron Inc. CEO said the deal will require “restructuring and optimization of costs,” but it is unclear how the deal will affect the 3,300 Kansas employees. Beechcraft emerged from bankruptcy earlier this year.
